April Coach of the Month
Coach Deanna, a Metropolitan Nashville Public School social worker, MSW, continues to provide outstanding services not only to Girls on the Run Nashville, but to all students at Carter Lawrence Elementary Magnet. Like GOTR founder Molly Barker, Deanna is a triathlete, a strong, dedicated woman and an amazing role model. She is the head coach for the Tuesday/ Thursday program at Carter Lawrence and also volunteers at least once a week with the Monday/ Wednesday program.
March Coaching Duo of the Month
There’s a fabulous coaching team serving our wonderful girls at Edmonson Elementary School! Every Wednesday and Friday morning, they have dedicated their time to being positive role models, having fun while educating the girls on various life lessons.
February Coach of the Month
We are absolutely honored to have “Kind Katie” as one of our head coaches this Spring. She has dedicated her time, which includes a two hour twice-weekly commute, to serve as an amazing role model for the girls.

Meet Lily Stankevich from Crockett Elementary. She’s learned from GOTR “how to be more confident and positive and just think about good stuff.”
Runner Spotlight: Ella Condra
Meet Ella Condra from Percy Priest Elementary. She says running “makes me happy and I feel like I am free. I really like to feel the air on my legs.”
Runner Spotlight: Frances DeNunzio
Meet Frances DeNunzio from Percy Priest Elementary. When she grows up, she says, “I would like to be an artist and a runner. I love to color.”
Runner Spotlight: Dazmin Thomas
Meet Dazmin Thomas from KIPP Academy. Her favorite part of Girls on Track is “that we work together and uncover secrets and we are not afraid to share them with each other.”
