Mayor Karl Dean Proclaims Official GOTR Day!

Mayor Dean wished to “recognize and commend Girls on the Run” on this special day for its work in local school’s. Girls on the Run uses the power of running to help prepare girls for a lifetime of self-respect and healthy living.

On May 9, 2009, 48 participants from the Girls on the Run spring program and their running buddies lead the pack in the season-ending 5k.
