Ultimate Family Fitness Day

Date and Time: April 2, 2011 from 1-4 p.m.
About the event: Get out the kids’ sneakers and throw on your workout clothes for the ultimate day of family fitness! Seven 20-minute sessions taught by local professionals will get everyone up and moving, inspiring good health and providing an opportunity for families and individuals to be active together. The event will also feature a variety of health booths where participants can test their body mass index and learn about opportunities to be fit all year long.

Cause: Ultimate Family Fitness Day supports Girls on the Run Nashville, a 10-week after school program that use the power of running to prepare 3rd-8th grade girls for a lifetime of self-respect, positive relationships and healthy active living.
Registration: Families: $45; Individuals: $20; Children:$10 (must be age 7 and up). Participants receive a GOTR tote bag and are eligible for door prizes. Register by mail or online by clicking the button below. Event day registration begins at 12:00 p.m. Event may be delayed or cancelled at organizers’ discretion. No refunds.
Event highlights: We’ll be auctioning off two entries to the May 15th Ramblin’ Rose sprint distance women’s triathlon at Centennial Sportsplex and giving away a GARMIN!
Activities: Boot camp, core, family fit obstacle course, football drills, running form instruction, total body strength, and yoga/pilates. Participants can attend each session or complete their favorites several times. Sessions will be on-going throughout the day.
